About Rightback

We read the small print, so you don’t have to.

Rightback is an independent service that helps people and businesses in Nigeria get insurance claims paid — we review the policy and claim, build the case, and push the insurer, and the regulator if needed. We also recover money banks wrongly charged.

Insurers must pay genuine claims. Banks must refund wrong charges.

Even Nigeria’s insurance regulator says the industry’s biggest problem is trust — and has told insurers to clear genuine claims. Source

When a claim is delayed, cut or refused, most people can’t tell whether the reason holds up against their policy wording — or what evidence is still missing. Banks are the same: in 2025 the CBN ordered banks to refund ₦19.12bn and $329.3m to customers, and between 2012 and 2023, ₦115.5bn and $22.8m was recovered for bank customers.

That’s the work we do: read the small print, show you where you stand, and follow it through to payment.

Bank figures are industry-wide figures from CBN data — not Rightback’s results. Sources: CBN refund figures, Vanguard (2026); 2012–2023 figures, Legit.ng.

Five things we hold to on every case.

01

We work only for you

We’re independent — not an insurer, broker, loss adjuster or bank — so the only side we’re on is yours.

02

Your policy, read properly

Every reason an insurer gives is checked against your policy wording. For banks, only charges the bank made — never payments you made.

03

Nothing sent without your OK

You get an honest answer — winnable, maybe, or not — and you decide what we pursue.

04

Paid when you are

The review is free. Our fee is a share of what we recover — for insurance, only on what we get beyond the insurer’s existing offer.

05

Your documents, then deleted

Documents are encrypted, seen only by your case team, and deleted when your case closes.

The complaint route

The official process, followed to the end.

  1. Your insurer or bank first

Every case starts with a clear, evidenced letter through their own claims or complaint process.

  2. Deadlines followed

We follow up on every deadline, so nothing stalls quietly.

  3. NAICOM or CBN, if needed

If they stall, we escalate to the insurance regulator (NAICOM) or the Central Bank of Nigeria.

  4. Money lands

The payment reaches you. Only then is our fee due.

Not an insurer, broker or loss adjuster

We don’t sell or arrange policies, or assess losses for insurers.

Not a bank

We don’t hold your money or offer accounts.

Not a law firm

Where a licensed professional is required, we work with one.

Not NAICOM or the CBN

We’re not affiliated with NAICOM or the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Outcomes depend on each case and are not guaranteed.
